TYC Overview

Ta-Yuan Cogen Co., Ltd. mainly engages in the business of cogeneration plants, management of operations, maintenance of equipment, removal of waste, management of incinerators, and so on. The establishing goal of our company is to coordinate with the government to promote cogeneration and further to improve the efficiency of the energy, to ease the pressure on the domestic power supply, and to reduce environmental pollution. Through the development of cogeneration, we will make the power supply in the industrial region sufficient and balance the difference between the power used in peak hours and the power used in off-peak hours. In addition, our prospect is “Sustainable Growth”. The operating goal of our company is “Stability, Efficiency, and Flexibility”, and the operation guideline of the cogeneration plant is “Energy Conservation, Environment Protection, and Economic.”

Our company added a new green energy business in 2014, which is the treatment plant located in Taoyuan Environmental Science and Technology Park. It costs NT$ 550 million. Our company has established completely new, high quality and highly professional plants and equipment to make what was originally waste energy renewable to produce silicon carbide and alcoholate. We expect to dedicate ourselves to environmental protection in Taiwan through new renewable energy, pursue the performance of sustainable operation, create a win-win operating space for customers and our company, and become the benchmark enterprise in the industry.

In 2017, the Solar Photovoltaic Energy System was implemented by the Ta-Yuan Cogen Co., Ltd. to support the government’s policy of developing the renewable energy. After that, synchronized in July the following year. The Solar Photovoltaic Energy System is privately constructed by TYCC on the rooftop of its Renewable Resources Plant and it area is 2000m2 . With the installed capacity is 191.1kWP, it is hoped that we could help develop the renewable energy for Taiwan.

Corresponding to the “sustainable green, gas-focused, coal-reducing, nuclear-free” energy reformation policy promulgated by the government in 2019 while considering the rising consciousness in environmental protection and the stricter air pollution standards, we implemented a set of new-generation circulating fluidized bed type of Boiler Steam Generation Unit that steam capacity is 75T/H and rated output is 13.5MWh. Initially, it is designed co-firing with renewable fuel in order that the air pollution will be controlled at a level lower than the regulatory standards through a series of prevention facilities. In addition to reducing carbon, it also helps the government promote the circular economy in order to accomplish the final goal of transforming waste into renewable energy.

At the end of 2021,“the heavy oil generation units transform into natural gas generation units”was launched, and the new generator set will be commercialized in June 2022. Compared with the original heavy oil generation units, the efficiency of electricity generation has been improved, and the emission coefficient of electricity, sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, and particulate pollutants are also improved significantly. In the future, we will dispatch our generation units to meet Taipower Corporation’s demand in order to increase profits and growth.

Ta-Yuan Cogen Co., Ltd. actively responds to energy transformation, and gradually promotes the decommissioning plan of coal-fired extraction/condensing cogeneration system and the promotion of premixed combustion cogeneration system (G2 unit) SRF instead of coal fuel. In 2023, the board of directors approved the investment in new gas turbine units. In the future, it will effectively utilize the cost advantages of various fuels, flexibly optimize and dispatch power generation operation models, continuously enhance circular economic benefits, enhance market competitiveness and pursue sustainable development.
